Woodbridge Classic Champions |
The Woodbridge Strikers A East 2001 boys team ended the summer season with another tournament win. The team went undefeated in the Woodbridge Classic, saving their best performance until the final game. This was the third tournament win for the 2011 outdoor season and it accompanies a York League championship division win.
Success is a by-product of believing in yourself and believing in the people around you, and this team has shown the ability to overcome adversity by drawing upon its strong internal bond. The team’s historical accomplishments and high level of consistent performances is directly correlated to the depth every player provides by stepping up at some point during the season and making a difference in a game.
As is usually the case in everyday life, negativity and criticism fill the majority of our conversations. It may not be expressed often enough, but congratulations for making Woodbridge, the Club, parents, family members, and the coaches (Vito, Fab, Tony) proud: Daniel Barbuto, Lucas Bernabeo, Chris Campoli, Luca Cucumo, Chris Emma, Luca Ferrari, Dante Foresto, Raimo Iannello, Matteo Lazzaro, Michael Linardi, Carlo Marchione, Daniel Martino, Jaytin Pabla, and Tysen Philips. May you always remember the good times you have shared on and off the field in 2011, and more importantly created friends for life.

YRSA League Champions |
The Woodbridge Strikers A East U10 boys team won its third consecutive outdoor York Division championship. The division was decided on the last game of the season with a hard fought tie which was highlighted by a stellar goaltending performance against the second place team.
The team finished the season undefeated with a 13-0-1 record - scoring a league high 104 goals (disputing the talk of this just being a defense oriented team), while allowing only 8 goals in 14 total games.
Congratulations for another successful outdoor league season: Daniel Barbuto, Lucas Bernabeo, Chris Campoli, Luca Cucumo, Chris Emma, Luca Ferrari, Dante Foresto, Raimo Iannello, Matteo Lazzaro, Michael Linardi, Carlo Marchione, Daniel Martino, Jaytin Pabla and Tysen Philips
Thanks to our coaches Tony, Vito and Fab for their dedication, all the parents and family members for their support throughout the season, and our main sponsor King York.

Thornhill Challenge Cup Champions |
The 2001 Woodbridge Strikers A East team won the Thornhill Invitational Tournament.
The team cruised into the playoffs winning all three Round 1 games by a combined score of 12 to 0. In the semi final game, after conceding an early goal, the offense took control of the game with constant waves of attack. There was no defending the precision passing and creative team play resulting in a 10 to 1 dominating victory. The drastic change in weather between the semi-final and final game was a precursor to the upcoming change in team style of play. The final was all about great goaltending and stifling defense. The result was a 1 nil championship win.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, parents and supporters who continue to create a foundation for a winning team environment.

U10 Nigara Classic Cup Champions |
The Boys U10 Woodbridge Strikers A East team won the First Annual Niagara Classic Cup Tournament.
A mysteriously changing schedule, phantom hand balls, a mirage rival ghost from the past, voodoo chanting, and hallucinations due to the scorching sun, could not hide the reality The Strikers were the best team in the tournament. The team went undefeated - winning against finesse teams with their playmaking skill, and against stronger physical teams with their passion and heart.
Congratulations to the players : Carlo, Chris, Chris, Daniel, Daniel, Dante, Jaytin, Luca, Luca, Lucas, Matteo, Michael, Raimo, and Tysen; to the coaching staff (Vito, Fab, Marcus, Tony) for their dedication; and to the parents for their inspiration.

U8 YRSL BLUE DIVISION CHAMPIONS |
The
Woodbridge Strikers U8 A team coached by Vito Delduca and Tony Venneri captured
the 2009 YRSL U8 Blue Division title. The team finished the year undefeated,
scoring a high 80 goals and allowing a division low goals against of only 16 in
16 league games. While skilful in its ability, the team's camaraderie and all
for one mentality, was the driving force in the successful season. This unselfishness
was on display every time someone helped a teammate up after an opponent's tackle,
how everyone celebrated a goal with the same excitement no matter who scored,
and the presence of overall commitment to team at the expense of individualistic
opportunity. Most importantly though, the friendships and loyalty developed this
year will provide lifelong memories and create a solid foundation for future team
endeavours given this was the team's first year together.
