Congratulations to the Woodbridge Strikers West U16 Boys! They
were the finalists in the
Destination Wembley International Tournament
sponsored by Umbro. We were unlucky in the penalty shots. We
lost 5-4 in the penalty shots to Roma. Head Coach, Anibal Da
Silva, Joe Rando, Renato Scalise and Regina Da Silva are very
proud of the team as they made a great mark for themselves. No
one was expecting us to come so far! We represented Canada,
Woodbridge and our club with great talent. Umbro was very proud
as how the players, coaching staff and parents represented
themselves. Congratulations to William Mera who won the MVP
award and Daniel Alonzi who won the Xbox Fifa 08 Tournament. |
