Congratulations to the Woodbridge U-17 Girls as they had a great weekend winning all 5 games played in winning the Woodbridge Classic Tournament. A great way to cap off a fantastic season !!!!

The U-17 Girls travelled to Lake Simcoe this past weekend to take part in the 2010 CGSL CUP semi-finals and finals
Battered and short handed by injuries and suspensions the team showed true character as each and every girl gave it there all as they eliminated Barrie in the Semi-Final 3-2 and then falling behind in the 1st half of the Championship game the girls came out strong in the 2nd half as they defeated a strong Bradford team 2-1. This concluded a dream season as the girls won both the league and cup and had a fantastic trip to Orlando in July where they were semi-finalists at the Disney youth World Cup where they were 3-0 in the round robin only to lose a heart breaker semi-final in a shoot-out. Congratulations to the girls and Coaching staff headed by Mario Gagliardi who has elevated this team to a fantastic level of play. Great Job Girls.

2010 ONTARIO INDOOR CUP SEMI-FINALISTS |

Congratulaions to the U-17 girls and their Head Coach Mario Gagliardi and his staff as they had terrific sucsess in reaching the semi-final game this past weekend in the 2010 Ontario Indoor Cup.
The girls won 2 games in the quarter final tournament round on Saturday to advance to the semi-final on Sunday morning where they faced Markham and unfortunetly lost.
The girls must be commended as they accomplished a first for any Woodbridge girls team in reaching the semi-finals in any Ontario Cup competition.
Congratulations to the girls and their coaching staff!!

Congratulations
to the U-16 girls and their coaching staff led by Mario Gagliardi for capturing
the CGSL Cup Championship this past weekend in Unionville and Markham by beating
East York 2-0 in the semi-final game and winning the Championship by a score of
4-1 over Bracebridge A
tremendous effort by all of the girls and a well deserved Championship . Great
work girls !!.

The
U-16 girls coached by Mario Gagliardi travelled to the Downsview Park Holiday
Tournament on Friday, January 2nd and had a very succesful outcome as they were
finalists in the tournament.
The team played 6 games and posted shutouts
in their first 5 games but lost a heartbreaking Final 1-0 with the only goal that
they gave up all tournament long .
Congratulations go out to the girls
and the coaching staff on a job well done!
