Congratulations to the Woodbridge Strikers East U9 Boys team for
winning the OSU Nike Challenge Cup held in Ottawa July 12/13.
Sixteen teams were entered in this age group. The team played
exceptionally and was held in great awe and admiration by other
coaches, parents and tournament organizers. Our team’s coaches,
managers and parents were constantly approached by other coaches
and parents to express their admiration with the style of play,
the skill level and the sportsmanship of our boys. The team won
all 5 games beating Ottawa Royals, Goulbourn Gators, Glaucester
Hornets in the preliminaries, then 3-1 against Brampton Bulls in
the semis and 6-2 in the finals against Ottawa International.
Our team outscored the opposition in these five games 33 to 5. |
